RULES
Goal

eligibility

The TYSL Fall League is openn to all club and independent teams (in good standing) who meet the following rules of eligibility:

  1. All teams to be registered under US Club Soccer.

  2. Register / card all players with proof of age through TYSL Soccer / US Club Soccer.

  3. Commit to entire Fall / Sping shedule.

  4. Pledge support of proper coach, trainer, player and parent behavior.

  5. When using the Club Pass, players are not allowed to  play below their level registered.

Please note that TYSL Comptitions have a zero tolerance policy toward Coach, Player and Parent mishehavior

tsyl rules

4V4

Games will be played with 4 fields players, no goalkeepers There is not offside, no penalty kicks and no throw ins. Goal kicks can be taken from anywhere  on the end line. The opponent has to retire behind mid-field line until the ball has been played in. Corner kicks are taken from the corner on the side that the ball went out on kicks-ins will be taken instead of throw ins and the opponent must be at least 5 yatds away. There will be a goal box and a player should not be stationed inside the goal box. Heading is not allowed at this level and any heading will be an indirect free kick for the opposing team.

5V5

  1. Each match will be played in the 5v5 format, consisting of 4 fields players and one goalkeeper.

  2. Restriction/build out line-on goal kicks and when the GK has possession of the ball, the opposing team must  drop behind the restriction/ build out line. The opposing team's players may cross the restriction/build out line once the ball has broken the plane for the penalty area.

  3. Punting the ball-there is not punting by goalkeeper. Indirect free-kick from the mid-line for infractions of this rule.

  4.  Heading the ball a if a player heads the ball inside the penalty area, a drop ball is awarded on the restriction/build out line.

  5. Players must be a minimun of 8 yards away from restarts.

  6. All other rules conform to regular standars.

                                                   

7V7

  1. Each match will be played in the 7v7 format, consisting of 6 field players and one goalkeeper.

  2. Restriction/build out line-on goal kicks and when the GK has possession of the ball. The opposing team must drop behind the restriction/build out line. The opposing team's players may cross there is no punting by the restriction/build out line one the ball has broken the plane for the penalty área.

  3. Punting the ball- there is not punting by the goalkeeper. Indirect free-kick from the mid-line for infractions of this rule.

  4. Heading the ball a. If a player heads the ball outside the penalty area, a drop Natl shall be awarded at the spot the ball was headed at. b. If a player heads the ball inside the penalty area, a drop ball is awarded on the restriction/build out line.

  5. Players must be a minimun 8 yards away from restarts.

  6. All others rules conform to regular standars

 

9V9

9v9-U12 (2010) players are allowed to head the ball and 2011 (U11) players are not. If a player intentionally heads the ball, then an indirect free kick for the opposing team is awarded. If it happens in the goal area, the ball is placed on the goal area line. Other Matters: Noise makers will not be allowed during the soccer games. Pets are not allowed at either field location. Consumption of alcoholic beverages or smoking on tournament grounds is prohibited. The Tournament Director will decide upon The League Board will decide upon any matter not provided for in the tournament rules. Decisions will be final.

2015 (U8)-5v5 with goalie (20 min halves)

2014 & 2013 (U9 &U10)- 7v7 (25 min halves)

2012 & 2011- 9v9 (30 min halves)

2010 -2004- 11v11 (35 min halves)

ADDITIONALLY

  • All Teams are required to have two (2) sets of Jerseys (Home and Away) for each game. Please make sure if your team is HOME they wear dark and if they are AWAY they wear LIGHT color jersey.

  •  A Maximum of two (2) Coaches will be allowed on the team sideline. Each must have proper TYSL identification. Parents will need to be on the other side.

  • A Trophy for 1st and medals for 1st and  2nd place teams in all  age categories.

  • Player Club Pass Rule - Player Pass will be allowed as long as player is registered on official roster two days prior to scheduled game. Any players written in will result in a forfeit.
